Code of conduct

How We Hold Each Other Here.

Every member agrees to this before coming in, including me. It is short on purpose, it is enforced, and it applies to the forum, the tribes, the job board, the marketplace, and any live practice space.

  1. 01

    Consent over performance.

Nobody here owes anyone disclosure, a photo, a diagnosis, or a story. Ask before you advise, and stop the moment someone says stop.

  2. 02

    No harassment, no exceptions.

No slurs, no sexual attention that wasn't asked for, no following someone from thread to thread, no piling on. A boundary is a fact, not a debate.

  3. 03

    No defamation.

Say what happened to you; don't invent what someone did. No naming private people, no speculation about someone's character presented as fact, no doxxing.

  4. 04

    No diagnosing each other.

This is a peer room, not a clinic. Offer your own experience, never a label for someone else's nervous system.

  5. 05

    No gatekeeping.

There is no correct way to be Black enough, queer enough, disabled enough, or trauma-informed enough. We don't rank each other's pain.

  6. 06

    No forced scripts.

You don't have to call yourself a survivor, use a coping skill, or accept anyone's framework. Nobody is required to perform healing in the house dialect.

  7. 07

    Privacy is the floor.

What's shared here stays here. Screenshots out of context, into group chats or the timeline, is the quickest way out of this community.

Reporting Harm

Every post and reply has a Report link. Reports go to the stewards’ queue, not to the person you flagged, and the person who reported is never named. You can also write to hello@baddiebewell.com if you’d rather not use the button.

Consequences run from a private reminder, to a removed post and a required pause, to removal from the community. Harassment and defamation skip the reminder.

If You Curate a Tribe

Proposing a community is a promise, not a title. Curators agree to actively moderate: they don’t leave a harassment thread running, they don’t let defamatory language sit, and they enforce this code of conduct rather than an unspoken vibe. Tribes go live only after a steward approves them, and a curator who stops showing up loses the role.

Read this before you join, then come in. Agreement is part of the sign-up, and it’s the one question in onboarding you can’t skip.
